Slugs have a pair of tentacles that they utilise to sniff instead of a standard nose. Two more tentacles on the tips of a slug’s body include eyeballs.
The smelling tentacles are smaller than the sighting tentacles. The scent tentacles are on the slug’s face, while the sight tentacles are on the top of the head. Each nostril is found on the tentacles suited for smelling. Slugs are said to have four noses, which is a popular misunderstanding. The primary cause of this misunderstanding is the number of tentacles.
