The Magic Chef Furnace is a home heating standing pilot furnace developed by the Magic Chef appliance company. Although the company no longer produces furnaces, earlier types are still in use.
From the 1970s to 1988, Magic Chef created a furnace line. While the Magic Chef brand name lives on, the company was purchased by Maytag in 1988, and the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning division was renamed Armstrong Air.
After the sale, Armstrong continued to make furnaces, and some of the parts are interchangeable. Armstrong is still in operation, and their dealers may be able to provide parts and service.
