There is no state or territory in the United States that begins with the letter “E” as of April 2015. Delaware is the only state that starts with the letter “D,” and Florida is the only state that starts with the letter “F.” The country is divided into 50 states and nine territories.
At least one state in the United States has 19 letters in its initial letters. The first letters “M” and “N,” which are the first letters of eight states each, are the most prevalent. Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, and Utah are the first letters of only one state each.
