To see an L’Oreal Preference hair colour chart, go to the company’s website, Loreal.com, and look under the Superior Preference product range. As of 2016, the website features a chart with 47 Preference hair dye colours ranging from Champagne Blonde to Ultimate Black. Customer images, hair colour advice and instructions, and product reviews are all available on the site.

L’Oreal touts their Superior Preference permanent hair colour collection as brilliant and fade-resistant. The brand says that its hair colour line hides grey hair, adds lustre, and lasts up to eight weeks. Light Auburn, Light Amber Brown, Paris Couture Rich Merlot Red, and Medium Chestnut Brown are among the other colours on the chart.

Mix the Color Gel with the Color Optimizing Creme and apply it to the hair for 25 to 35 minutes before rinsing and conditioning. Care Supreme Conditioner is included in Superior Preference dye packages to maintain hair soft and vibrant between colorings.

L’Oreal also sells other dye collections, such as Excellence Creme, Excellence Age Perfect, and Feria, in addition to Superior Preference. Color guides for these ranges are also available on L’Oreal’s website. Feria offers bolder, more powerful colour options including Power Violet, Red Velvet, and Cherry Crush, while Excellence Creme promises improved grey coverage.

To screen for allergies, L’Oreal recommends completing a skin patch test 48 hours before colouring.
