Except in Albany, Americus, Brooklet, Brunswick, Comer, Elbert County, Flovilla, Fort Oglethorpe, Garden City, Kingland, Lovejoy, Oglethorpe, Palmetto, Pendergrass, Portal, Sumter County, Swainsboro, Tunnel Hill, Varnell, Waycross, Whitfield County, and Woodbine, beer is legally sold on Sunday in all Georgia counties.

In November 2011, the rest of Georgia’s municipalities agreed to lift the prohibition on Sunday booze sales. The vote was conducted city by city and county by county. The restriction on Sunday booze sales was repealed in 105 of the 127 municipalities that voted on the law. In most counties, beer, wine, and spirits were once prohibited.
