The Panhandle Plains, the Prairie and Lakes region, the South Texas Plains, the Gulf Coast, Piney Woods, Hill Country, and Big Bend Country are all major landforms in Texas. Some of the most common landforms in Texas are rivers, grasslands, mountains, plateaus, marshes, and swamps.
Flat terrain, islands, bays, bayous, and saltwater marshes make up the Gulf of Mexico shoreline. The famed Hill Country, which is considered the state’s heart, rises from this area. Hill Country is covered in scrub trees and cacti. Mountains such as Guadalupe, Santiago, and Davis are frequently linked with Southwest Texas. The San Antonio, Lavaca, Nueces, and Rio Grande rivers all flow across the South Texas Plains.
