Buyer Beware!!!! Especially for anyone that does not frequently purchase and finance vehicles from a dealership!!!! On 7/26/10, I purchased my 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix from Randy Wise in Fenton as a 24 year old single female making my first vehicle purchase without help. The vehicle was sold to me as a GM Certified Used Car with the following conditions per General Motors: Owner Care: В•Exclusive 2-Year/24,000-Mile1 CPO Scheduled Maintenance PlanВ•12-Month/12,000-Mile2 Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty В•Powertrain Limited Auto Warranty В•5-Year/100,000 Mile3 Powertrain Limited Warranty on Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles from Chevy, Buick, Or GMC with $0 deductible. В•Enhanced 6-Year/100,000 Mile Powertrain Limited Warranty $0 deductible In addition to this warranty I was offered an extended warranty by the finance representative for the cost of $2615. I was told that the extended warranty would cover me for 100k miles from date of purchase bringing my warranty to 144,902 miles total for the bumper to bumper В“platinum planВ”. My car was serviced in 2010, 2011, 2012, and each service document lists the warranty as B2356P COMPASS 144902 OR 7/26/15 $100 DED. The engine was serviced multiple times and covered under the warranty before the vehicle exceeded 100k miles. I brought the vehicle in on 11/29/13 and was given a rental car per my warranty. I received a phone call later stating that my warranty expired at 100k miles and would not be covered. My father got involved as the dealership was not willing to work with me. My father spoke to the Service Mgr., he ultimately agreed that the warranty was miscommunicated and was admissive that there was a mistake. he covered the vehicle repairs (rack &pinion, power steering pump, wheel hub, thermostat) with no additional explanation. I brought the car back again on 6/30/14 as the power steering has failed and the vehicle is leaking coolant, I was told by the service manager that he would not cover the cost of the repair again and that it was done previously as a courtesy due to the warranty miscommunication. When I showed him all of my documentation outlining the warranty on Randy Wise letterhead as 144902 miles or 7/26/15 with $100 ded, his only response was that В“good help is hard to findВ” and said he simply could not cover the repair as the dealership had retained enough cost surrounding the vehicle. I also pointed out that the GM warranty had 24k miles/2years of bumper to bumper and 100k miles for powertrain which would suggest that they sold me a warranty at that cost which only covered 31,092 of non-powertrain coverage to which he said that he felt I had paid a fair price for this extremely limited amount of coverage. He suggested that I pay $100 or more per hour to have the car diagnosed to which I disagreed to after contacting my father. Wish I had not purchased my car at Randy Wise or that I had brought someone with me that is very experienced with purchasing a car that could have poked in holes in the verbal information I was receiving at the time of sale. I also wish that Randy Wise would honor their dealership documentation that has my warranty listed the way I had thought that I purchased it as. Compass warranty has told me that the dealership mistakenly filed the warranty as a new car purchase as well. Now I do not have a car , I spently just under $19k including the car, warranty, and taxes and 4 years later with only 118k miles , the vehicle is not running and needs extensive and costly repair work which the dealership refuses to honor my warranty for!

The service people are just Ruse and they tell you one time to pick up your vehicle and it’s not done and then another time. They don’t call you to tell you what’s going on you have to keep up on them. Their towing is fine and the times is good.

Shocked by all of the positive reviews. Apparently these salesman are great scammers in getting people to buy from their dealership. What is missing here are the absolutely horrible reviews about service (look at their BBB complaints). I will never do business with these people again. I have been battling with them over a repair since July 2015 (4 months). After 7 weeks and over $1000 they still have not repaired my vehicle. I have been calm and cooperative only requesting the portion of what they could not fix in return — almost $700. My vehicle has come back in worse shape everytime. it’s been returned. I just had a conversation with one of the Lasco sons — an absolute waste of time. Still refusing to “make this right” as they like to say. Even admitting their wrong doing but refusing to refund me. I now have to take legal action. WOULD NOT recommend this company.

Offered a $7,000 trade for my car, a firm exact trade based on the appraisal that was done by one of the sales MANAGERS. After I spent much of my time searching the lot online, and in store I was able to find a vehicle I loved that I wanted to purchase. Once we sat down to fill out the paperwork to purchase the vehicle, the trade in price DROPPED to $3,500. When I asked about why the price difference they basically said “too bad this is what we can offer” but said it was okay because if i just added the other $3,500 in difference they could still make the deal. How on earth is this a correct way to do business? I was baited in with promises of a good deal, then at the last minute they took it all away, but still pressured me into making the deal. They don’t care about the customer, only the money. DO NOT shop at this dealer, they will do everything they can to lie and cheat to make a deal the works in THEIR favor only.
