This place instilled the hate and lack of trust I have in dealerships/auto service centers. We come in to get an engine block heater installed and after raising the car and taking everything apart, they realize the engine block heater doesnt fit. They charge us for a half an hour of labor for nothing. We went to another auto shop to see if the engine block heater could be installed there, before and they told us they couldnt install it, and charged us nothing. Believing that this other auto shop was lying to us and didn’t know how to install the heater, we came to doane’s. God knows what shop to trust. NONE!

My wife and I were getting ready to get on the road and we ran into a snag (as always happens when you don’t want it to). Our Audi A4 wagon had started making this growling sound a week or so ago. My wife’s philosophy was to turn the radio up (it was her car and I found out about this after the fact). So- the next thing you know, we’re on our way to Target in Enfield to grab some last minute supplies to go on our vacation to Maine. Next thing you know, the wheel starts making a really loud growling sound. We pull in to the shop off the road going only about 15mph. Rob greeted us in the parking lot and immediately brought our car in and put it in the air. After he and rich looked at it, we found out that a rear wheel bearing was ready to fall out. Rob gave us a ride home, and Rich was able to get the bearing at his shop in 1/2 an hour, and replace it. We got to the shop apprx. 11am, and were picking up our car at 3:30pm. I actually called a few other shops around for prices, and they still ended up being the lowest! If not for these guys, I never would have made it to Maine. Thanks Guys!! You are the best!

Your front office staff is extremely well organized and friendly and pleasant on the telephone and in person. The estimate that your associate prepared was done professionally – though we needed to have a second one prepared to satisy the other party’s insurance company. Your shop’s work with both insurance companies was transparent to us and worked out very well. You had a rental car available to us when we dropped off the car and that worked perfectly. I didn’t have to do anything. The work is absolutely flawless and the car looks like the brand new car that it is. Finally, when I picked up the car it looked as it it had been detailed. The associate obviously took pride in his work ( Andrew, I think ) and this is something your customers must all really appreciate – I know I did. Even the “buzz” sound that I mentioned to you when I dropped off the car is GONE. That’s a relief. I was looking for a place to post this review on line and I would be happy to do so when your website is fully up and running. In the meantime, I felt we should convey our thanks to you and your staff for a first rate experience – I’m glad I chose Mike’s over Balise and kept my business in Suffield – I also feel sure that we got the best job we possibly could have.
