As of 2015, Jackson’s Lemon Jumble cookies are no longer manufactured or sold commercially. Kellogg bought the cookie line from Keebler about 2001 and now owns it. Soon after Kellogg took over the company, the southern favourite was eliminated.
Jackson’s Old Fashioned Lemon Jumbles were flavoured with genuine lemon and resulted in a somewhat tart and mildly sweetened butter crisp, which aficionados dubbed “jumbos.” In the mid-1980s, the cookies became popular. Fans of the original cookie have written to Kellogg requesting that they be brought back, but no plans have been announced.
