You must have an electronic ticket to check in for your flight online. Online flight check-in is available for both international and domestic flights. If you booked your flights through a travel agency, you are only eligible if the agency provided you with an electronic ticket.
You must meet certain conditions in order to check in online at United.com. If the initial flight of your trip is a United Airlines flight, you can only check in at United.com. Furthermore, the trip must have four or less flight parts. There must be fewer than nine people in your party if you are going in a group.
You can print your boarding pass at a United Airlines airport kiosk if you lose your boarding pass or if you are unable to print it at home.
Passengers travelling from specified cities can request an email with a link to their boarding card as an alternative to printing their boarding pass. Passengers can then use their mobile device to display the boarding pass barcode at the security checkpoint and during boarding.
Passengers who need to check luggage can use United Airlines’ online check-in service, but they must first visit a ticket counter or a curb-side skycap before boarding.
