Microsoft’s free email programme, Hotmail, is now known as Outlook. When a user has logged in to Outlook, there are various simple ways to switch to a different account. You may wish to set up several profiles in Outlook or sign in to a separate account using private browsing depending on whether you want to conveniently move between two commonly used accounts or whether you are signing in to a different account for the first time.

If you want to join in to an Outlook account when another user is already logged in, the fastest and easiest way is to create a new private browsing window. This is known as Incognito Mode in Google Chrome. Because private browsing windows do not use the cookies that are ordinarily saved by the browser, you will be able to check in to your account without causing the other user to sign out.

If you frequently transfer between different Outlook accounts, you might wish to create numerous profiles to make switching between inboxes easier. To do so, you’ll need to use the Outlook application to create a new profile. Select the Windows icon, then search for the Control Panel using the search function. Search for Mail in the Control Panel and select the Mail icon that appears. After that, the Mail Setup box should display. After that, select Show Profiles and then Add. You’ll be requested to give the new profile a name. After that, the app will ask you to enter the email address you want to use.

You’ll be able to switch between profiles without having to sign out once you’ve set up numerous profiles. You’ll also have the option of selecting a default profile for Outlook to use when it starts.
