Submit a video through AFV.com to AFV home videos. Click the About menu on the homepage for “America’s Funniest Home Videos.” Select Frequently Asked Questions by descending. Click How can I submit a video for consideration on America’s Funniest Home Videos? This question serves as a link to AFV.com/upload.

Select a video to upload to AFV.com/upload. The submission cannot be illegal or protected by copyright, nor should it contain any visuals or audio. The maximum upload size per video is 2 megabytes. AFV now broadcasts in HD and requests videos with the greatest resolution and frame rate, such as 720486 or 1280720 at 30 frames per second.

MPG, WMV, AVI, XVID, and MOV are all acceptable video formats. Additional acceptable formats are H.264, AVC, and DIVX. Title the video and include a brief description. AFV reserves the right to feature and enter contest-eligible videos on its website. People who submit a video are required to give contact information so that AFV can contact them if their film is selected for “America’s Funniest Home Videos.”

AFV also needs prospective participants to agree to specific legal terms, including AFV’s discretionary authority to edit or alter any entry. As of March 2015, AFV still accepts entries by mail of home video formats such as VHS, 8MM, Hi-8, and digital video. AFV allows home videos transferred to CD-ROM or DVD, as well as 8MM films transferred to videotape, as long as they match broadcast and eligibility conditions.
