China decided to stop recognizing the British National Overseas passport or any proof of identity.

China declared that it would no longer recognize certain British travel documents, and there is no retaliation for Britain’s decision.

Recently China has announced legal information about stopping recognizing special UK passports for hong kongers. In general retaliation for Britain’s offer has responsibilities to offer millions of Hong Kong residents a path to citizenship, as well as amid Beijing’s crackdown on the city.

This announcement created a lot of impacts as well as this announcement has come after Britain declared a formal start date for the new visa program. It was taken due to the latest escalation of tensions between the two countries due to the involvement of Hong Kong, it was a former British colony as well as now it returned to Chinese control in the year 1997.

Usually, most Hong Kongers carry multiple passports so that it is unclear and creates confusions about what if anything the government could do to prevent individuals entering the U.K. with the BNO visa plan.

After these changes, Beijing stimulated to take some necessary actions related to a national security law in Hong Kong. It was taken during the last summer but these changes gave the authorities sweeping powers.

It was allowed then to curtail dissent. Due to these changes, Britain also accused China of violating its promise to offering Hong Kong 50 years of semi-autonomy.

Based on the recent changes, the British government has also announced a lot of factors in June; it is decided to offer a special visa pathway for holders of British National (Overseas) passports. Of course, it is a unique category and it is mainly created for Hong Kongers before the 1997 transfer of power.

Now everything is operated under the new rules, people also understand the new set of rules. Most importantly, the Hong Kong residents also had applied for BN (O) status before the handover.

Based on the factors, they will pick the eligible for choosing a perfect special visa. It is perfect for the people who prefer to work, live or study in the United Kingdom.

Even it is valid for up to five years. To get an additional year, it is also important to apply for citizenship.

According to the changes, the British government also estimated the exact percentages. In general, the count will be 2.9 million BN (O). The citizens in Hong Kong, along with 2.3 million, have eligible to move with them.

Still, the count is unclear. The government is also confused about the move because many residents would actually seek to emigrate.

With the recent analysis, the government predicted that around 123,000 and 153,700 people would utilize the new pathway, but it is not utilized by all the BN (O) citizens who have BN (O) passports. Even they are eligible to apply.

In general, we have also honored our profound ties with history. At the same time, we also manage a great friendship bond with the people of Hong Kong. Now restrictions, we have stood up for freedom as well as autonomy.

Boris Johnson, Britain’s prime minister said that, the applications for the new pathway would open from Jan. 31.

People know that Britain’s plan had incensed Beijing, this announcement will help people to know about the recent changes. Especially since it is considered the quick warning to potential retaliation.

The announcement was made on Friday. In that, Chinese government officials made clear terms that include the new set of visa rules. These factors also include the direct challenge to their sovereignty.

a spokesman for China’s foreign ministry namely Zhao Lijian said that plan was made due to the recent changes. This will change Hong Kong residents into second-class British citizens.

This will be taken related to the remarks by CCTV, China’s state broadcaster.

No wonder China will stop recognizing BN (O) passports for valid travel. They also stopped identifying documents on Jan. 31. Mr. Zhao said that China has the right to take further actions at any time.

The announcement clearly notifies everything.  Of course, the announcement was more symbolic as well as substantive. Most importantly, the BN (O) passport holders can hold Hong Kong passports.

They also have the ability to get any other foreign passports. These factors will not be affected by the measure. So residents need to keep their eyes on these factors.

Still, many pro-Beijing officials have wanted to close up some perceived loopholes. Regina Ip is the most popular Hong Kong lawmaker who proposed earlier this month about territory denies rights.

This factor will abode to residents with dual citizenship. Through this, the country residents will affect a lot, Carrie Lam, Hong Kong’s chief executive, clearly said that there are no changes in such plans in the making.`
