There are no known methods for growing seedless cherries at this time. Cherries are a stone fruit, and scientists have yet to create one that is completely devoid of stones.

Scientists have been working on ways to make fruit without stones for years. Luther Burbank, a plant breeder, came close in 1914 when he created a partially stoneless plum. His work has had a big impact on modern horticulturists, who are still trying to figure out how to grow entirely seedless and stoneless cherries, plums, and peaches.

They’ve struggled to produce these types without compromising the fruit’s quality or size, both of which are critical if the fruit is to be sold on a large scale. If successful, it might result in higher revenues for growers, since seedless versions of fruits like grapes and watermelon enhanced consumer demand.
